Breaking news from Fitt Insider
It’s official: physical inactivity is a global crisis.
Issuing a warning, a World Health Organization report estimates that the health implications of inactivity will cost the world economy upward of $27B annually, totalling $300B between 2020–2030.
Though, there’s hope. Leaning into accessibility and lifestyle change, some emerging trends show promise:
~25% of Americans use a smartwatch or fitness tracker, and new research suggests wearing one leads to greater exercise persistence.
Paying people to work out, #MoveToEarn startups hope to increase motivation by gamifying and incentivizing exercise. Is DEFIT the solution? We believe we are the best portioned project to lead this movement. What do you think?
